i hear denney and barrett were robbed but I didn’t see the competition. i hear they werevery strong and clean..
Elements wise they were fairly strong. But I was disappointed in their actual *performance* of the elements in the short. Much stronger performance, presentation, expression, speed, etc. in their freeskate today.
Are people interested in me doing this for the junior pairs freeskate coming up after the final flight of senior pairs?
Please let me know. I’m happy to just sit and watch and not type. If I can keep the laptop internet connection I’ll probably continue… but doubt I will if I have to rely on the iphone for internet since I spend more time typing than watching. :>/
Would like an article on Simpson/Miller who took 1st in short and long.
Icenetwork does have one up at: http://web.icenetwork.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090802&content_id=6203100&vkey=ice_news.
I’ll be typing some very general notes up about the rest of the competition later today. Simpson and Miller look *GREAT* this season. (I believe they were quite new when they were at Indy Challenge last season). She’s turned on this presentation switch where she is now quite intense and outward in her presentation, and Nick is really starting to step it up as well in this season’s programs.
They easily could have belonged in the middle of the senior pairs pack, as their scores suggest. I can’t believe she’s only 13/14?
. If they keep their selves injury free and focused under pressure, I think it’s justified to have high hopes for them on the Jr. GP circuit (even Jr. GP Final?), and at Junior Nationals (and Junior Worlds?).
