My Skate America predictions

I had some downtime during lunch at work today. Here are my predictions for Skate America… not how I wish they would finish but how I believe they will finish.

I won’t bother with explanations, since I assume most readers know a fair amount and want to cut to the bs.

When the results are final, I’ll be listing them here to compare my predictions… so don’t come back soon if you have a fear of ’spoilers’.

Keauna McLAUGHLIN/Rockne BRUBAKER     USA (Finished in 2nd) (I think they are really going to start to dominate *next* season as world medal competitors… I think a clean (well, no falls) skate can put them scarily close to the Germans based on the difficult (but still rough) programs they skated at Indy Challenge).
3. Rena INOUE/John BALDWIN     USA (Finished in 5th)
4. Meagan DUHAMEL/Craig BUNTIN     CAN (Finished in 4th)
5. Maria MUKHORTOVA/Maxim TRANKOV     RUS (Finished in 3rd)
6. Caitlin YANKOWSKAS/John COUGHLIN     USA (Finished in 6th) *If later in the season I’d put
them 5th… and if they skate clean I think they’d place 3rd in that particular program.
